B. Function description

Corporate Globalization

The Corporate Globalization team evangelizes the globalization initiative throughout the company to deliver globalized programs and marketing assets. As a global organization, based in Palo Alto, Europe, Asia, and Latin America, we work directly with our international stakeholders as well as global and in-country localization vendors. We maintain a core competency in localization tools and processes and consult across the company to develop globalized end-user facing portals and IT systems to support our customers and partners.

C. Role description

Senior Manager, Globalization Operations, APJ

The Senior Manager, Globalization Operations, APJ is responsible for managing all aspects of Globalization for APJ, in order to execute localization programs and support our international website, sales and marketing programs and assets, e-learning and partner enablement content, and customer facing portals. This role is responsible for all localization personnel in the APJ region and responsible for the overall success of localization as a program for the region.


  • Manage the Operations in your region and vendor resources to plan and execute quarterly localization roadmaps, building budgets and overall schedule, and manage to successful completion

  • Define, implement and maintain best of class localization processes, including project management, budget and forecast management, linguistic quality and glossary management

  • Work closely with in-country marketing managers, sales and services teams, corporate marketing and program management to identify and prioritize programs for localization and ensuring overall programs are high quality and successfully executed

  • Align Globalization planning and requirements between APJ countries, APJ headquarters and US headquarters.

  • Works closely with other Globalization line managers in Europe, Americas, as well as other Globalization and Functional managers.

  • Align local, regional and global processes, in order to balance and optimize local and global processes, infrastucture, tools utilization, and industry best practices.

  • Support the L10N Operations Team driving vendor performance, team alignment, escalations, and implementation of process improvement strategies globally.


  • 10+ years of people management experience in leadership roles

  • Bachelor's degree in languages, computer science or relevant technical field

  • Solid experience in the localization field; excellent localization team management skills

  • Experience sourcing and managing vendors and managing budgets

  • Experience implementing quality and linguistic management processes

  • Experience with Enterprise class localization tools and processes

  • Strong leadership and team building skills

  • Attention to details and demonstrating a strong sense of ownership and accountability

  • Excellent verbal / written communication and analytical skills

  • Ability to work well within a diverse, geographically distributed, multicultural environment
