Proofpoint is proud to announce the acquisition of Cloudmark. Cloudmark’s Global Threat Network data will be incorporated in to Proofpoint Nexus platform, giving vital insight from messaging threat telemetry from billions of daily emails and visibility into fraudulent and malicious SMS messages directed to mobile carriers worldwide
Cloudmark protects the messaging infrastructure of more than 120 tier-one service providers worldwide, including AT&T, Verizon, Comcast, Cox, Swisscom, and NTT. We are expanding our product line to prevent other malicious online activities to make messaging safe.
We are seeking a proactive, creative and tenacious Sales Director to develop relationships with some of the largest Service Providers in Japan. The role will demand interaction with large scale service providers at the Network and Messaging Director level, as well as technical staff within the security teams.
You will be tasked with developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans. Successful execution of these strategies is required to achieve your financial targets. Sales director duties will include hitting annual targets, building relationships and understanding customer trends.
Owns the Sales Cycle and resources for the opportunities in which they are involved.
Qualifies and validates opportunities, creates and delivers winning strategies and Channel account plans to ensure that Cloudmark technology is selected in the sales cycle.
Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
Understand category-specific landscapes and trends
Reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts.
What you bring to the team
Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets
Previous experience as a sales executive, sales manager or sales and marketing director
Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
Provenabilityto position products against competitors
Demonstrable experience as a lead sales person, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills – Japanese and English is essential
An advantage to have a deep understanding of business, the competitive landscape and the economic/market and legal/regulatory environment within chosen territory.
University degree or equivalent.
Experience of managing channel sales to at least one of the following; Service Providers, Mobile Network Operators or Enterprise customers, supported by a visible successful track record in channel sales.
