We are looking for a seasoned Integrated Marketing Leader to join the Central Marketing Organization (CMO) in a newly expanded leadership role responsible for integrated marketing, marketing communications, and sales enablement specifically working with experiential marketing team for local events and developing local customer evidence to enable vertical selling.
The C entral M arketing O rganization (CMO) is the center of Modern Marketing excellence. The CMO brings our modern marketing vision to life, providing leadership and accountability to drive demand generation and create fans through a connected sales and marketing experience. The CMO provides Integrated Marketing and deep discipline expertise in Experiential Marketing, Social Marketing, and Analytics, working in partnership with the respective product and segment teams. The CMO supports all segments (commercial & consumer), products, and cross-product solution areas and maximizes the use of global content, focusing marketing investments in alignment with customer buying scenarios, and leveraging Global Demand Centers (GDC) and Global Engagement Programs (GEPs).
As the Integrated Marketing Lead, with strong support from your CMO Leader, you lead the largest group of integrated marketers responsible for delivering key business results by implementing global strategy and integrated local marketing programs that shape audience perceptions and drive demand generation through Global Demand Centers (GDCs) and Global Engagement Programs (GEPs). Your team delivers marketing communications planning, execution, and optimization across the buyer journey for all audiences, working with the Experiential, Social and Analytics peers. Besides working with your Area leadership team, your professional partnership and network extends to Microsoft’s headquarters specifically the Redmond Marketing Group of leaders and stakeholders, inclusive of the International Media Team (IMT) to amplify the impact of Field paid media investments. You lead your Area to smartly maximize loca marketing investments by fully exploiting all global content, services, and through-the-line marketing. The ideal candidate will be a voracious learner, quick adopter of leading practices from peers, and a courageous leader skilled in managing a team to execute on global strategy. You must enjoy ongoing challenges in this multifaceted, constant change management leadership role that combines strong Modern Marketing Profile, Social Marketing Leadership, Marketing Automation foundation, and masterfully leveraging global programs in your market for the greater cause—all coming together to deliver the best solutions for our customers.
Lead the all-up Integrated Marketing plan leveraging Global Go To Markets, Global Demand Centers (GDCs) and Global Engagement Programs (GEPs) inclusive of usage, process and policy, and with business goal alignment across both Sales and Marketing leadership. (30% of time)
Drive Marketing LT Governance across business groups and segments. (10% of time)
Lead all integrated marketing and marketing communications planning, strategy, execution and local optimization across all audiences leveraging CMO’s discipline expertise in Experiential, Social, and Analytics and the Marketing Service Center (MSC) services; Use all global assets, infrastructure and policies and consume all Modern Marketing University (MMU) readiness content; Lead with a One Microsoft approach, embrace Microsoft brand culture, and lead Microsoft brand stewardship for Subsidiary or Area. (20% of time)
Lead vertical industry marketing activity excecuting local events, and developing local customer evidence. Support Social Selling for BDM acquisition and opportunity expansion. (20% of time)
Develop, attract and export top Modern Marketing talent worldwide; Modern Marketing Profile: think revenue outcome, embrace Buyer centricity, market across the Buyer Journey, drive volume into the Global Engagment Program nurture streams, and ongoing test/measure/learn mindset. (20% of time)
Experiences Required: Education, Key Experiences, Skills and Knowledge:
Minimum of 7+ years of Marketing management experience in technology. Experience in executing global marketing strategies, and developing breadth and depth integrated regional efforts that amplify/extend/scale the efforts through to sale.
Preferably 4+ years’ experience in leadership and people management, and strong penchant for driving revenue outcomes. Recognized talent attractor, developer and exporter.
Strong understanding of and appreciation for marketing automation concepts, marketing operations and integrated marketing, including strategic Social Marketing. Strong analytical capabilities to measure business performance and ability to quickly make smart business tradeoffs.
Proven experience in dealing with strategic, complex issues, and challenges in a highly-matrixed organization. Experience working at a large global multinational is a positive.
Business English and Fluent Japanese language ability is preferred
