VMware Embedded OEM & IoT Account Executive in Tokyo, Japan

This role is responsible for prospecting, design wins, and sales engagements between VMware and companies embedding VMware technology within their solutions. The successful candidate will own the territory development and quota achievement with companies across multiple industries and segments. The person will have responsibility for account recruitment, executive relationship development, strategic planning, program development, and coordination with VMware field and specialists sales teams.

Embedded OEM & IoT Sales, Strategy, and Account Development:

• Create, manage and be accountable for embedded OEM bookings of VMware offerings

• Assist in embedded OEM strategy development across multiple market segments

• Develop and manage relationships with accounts at all levels including executive, product groups, and procurement working collaboratively with the global VMware field organization

• Ensure VMware and OEM accounts are appropriately engaged throughout all levels of the organizations

• Represent VMware products and solutions in coordination with the VMware technical evangelist team and alliance managers where applicable

• Facilitate regular technology reviews to ensure embedded OEM accounts and VMware are sharing joint roadmaps, milestones and deliverables

• Engage with BUs and CTOs on account-specific technical requirements and co-development initiatives enabling optimal integration of VMware offerings into the company’s solution

• Develop a deep understanding of the accounts’ products, strategies, customer value, and go-to-market approaches


• Strong experience in technology sales with additional background in product marketing, sales engineering, or business development roles

• Applied knowledge of embedded OEM engagements and business models

• Knowledge of Cloud Computing and Industrial IoT solutions

• Familiarity with software OEM business models, licensing, and negotiations with sufficient technical acumen to determine the correct VMware solutions for particular partner engagements

• Creative team player with the ability to work effectively across organizations
