The Account Technology Strategist (ATS) exists to “Enable the Business & IT goals of our Customers, by enabling business value with the Microsoft Platform, thus securing long-term Sustainable Growth for Microsoft in a Cloud First, Mobile First World!”
Key to the role of the ATS is to be the technology strategist for an account, serving as a Trusted Advisor to the Chief Information or Technology Officer (CIO/CTO) and collaborating to create a shared IT strategy that extracts the maximum value from Microsoft technologies. Based on the technology strategy, the ATS develops a technology roadmap for the customer. A strong roadmap requires the ATS to fully understand the business objectives of their customer, how Microsoft can best meet those needs and the competitive positions of both incumbent as well as beachhead competitors.
Moving from the plan to realizing the plan, the ATS is responsible for driving consumption. Planning for consumption includes identifying and addressing the elements required to move the customer's capability maturity to a higher level. These elements may include new functionality, technical or political blockers, or other challenges. The ATS should coordinate with the Account Team Unit (ATU), Specialist Team Unit (STU), Partner Team Unit(PTU), Services and/or the partner to ensure that we are "selling for consumption", ensuring we are setting up the customer to realize the full business value of our solution.
The ATS’s primary responsibilities in this world are to:
Drive the technical vision and strategy with and for the customer
Orchestrate consumption across the account and customer v-teams, and
Ensure the customer can realize the maximum business value from Microsoft solutions, thus driving sustained usage
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities include:
Demonstrate how to leverage new and existing investments in Microsoft products and services to create business value
Communicate the Microsoft technical vision and strategy for the customer, helping them realize the existing and future value of their investments in Microsoft solutions
Work with Account Executives, Solution Sales Specialists, Technology Specialists, Solution Architects and Technical Account Managers in formulating and executing on the long-term strategy for the Account and evangelize Microsoft products, technologies, and solutions to meet strategic initiatives and revenue goals
Create leads of sales opportunity and drive Deployment, Consumption and Usage of Microsoft solutions
Achieve your quarterly attainment to quota targets including Azure Consumed Rev, O365 Cloud Active Usage and Windows 10 activation

Gathers 360° Customer insight of IT Technology profile, and Partner and Competitive landscape
Builds Trusted Technology Relationships with Technical Decision Makers, incl. the CIO, CTO and their direct reports, and IT-Pro’s
Develops a long-term Business-to-IT Strategy & Deployment Roadmap, while orchestrating Microsoft and Partner Resources
Accelerate growth by ensuring the customers environment is ready to deploy new Microsoft Solutions
Drives growth by leading the customer technology architecture roadmap as part of the Account Planning and enabling customer’s infra-structure for faster consumption (deployment and adoption) of Microsoft’s cloud and mobility solutions

Qualifications
Required skills
5-8 years of related experience
Affiliation with Technology
Fluent in Japanese
Sales Experience ideally with financial service Industry customers
Extensive experience in working within teams
An absolute passion for driving business value via Microsoft software solutions
Ability to work with executive level management at enterprise customers to map IT to business initiatives; ability to engage with a wide range of audiences from IT Directors to CIO/CEO level
Strong communication and presentation skills and be able to articulate the business value of the Microsoft platform and position Microsoft products and solutions in competitive scenarios
Deep understanding of business and technical drivers for deployment of technical solutions and familiarity with products, tools, and prescriptive guidance to enable successful adoption and deployment.
Delivery of articulate, effective, and audience-appropriate presentations and demonstrations of MicrosoftProducts / Technologies, solutions, strategies, and initiatives.
Articulate the technical strategy & vision while demonstrating business value to the customer
Demonstrated effective leadership skills and strong self-confidence in customer meetings
Demonstrated team coordination skills
Proven virtual teaming abilities
Proven strategic planning, risk analysis, and business justification experience
Preferred skills
Experience in consultative Selling is recommended
Experience in Project Management is recommended
Business level in English is preferable
Prefers a certification in sales, sales management, complex sales training, sales methodologies, broad evangelism through events (presentation skills), consultative selling
Additional training or education in Business, Sales or Marketing is preferable
Prefers certification in Microsoft or relevant cloud, data center or mobility technologies
