Be part of the APAC Finance Team

The senior finance manager acts as the main Finance Business Partner for the Japan market, based in Tokyo. The Business Partnering function, includes business planning, management reporting, financial planning and analysis, and decision-making evaluations. The role will also be part of the Japan Business Unit Leadership team, proactively co-owning & following up on the key

priorities.

This role reports to the Director for APAC Finance, and is the main Finance Business Partner for the local General Manager. He / She is expected to be a key member of the local leadership team.

As the Business Partner for Japan, the senior finance manager leads the overall financial planning process for Japan, conducts financial analysis to support ongoing project evaluation and prioritization, and develops the right monitoring and reporting to understand progress

against key strategic and financial objectives.

Your tasks will include:

• Overall financial planning processes, including:

  • Business planning (short and long-term financial plans)

  • Monthly reporting

  • Estimates process (Initial, Detailed & Monthly)

• Setting financial direction, providing financial insights to business decisions to facilitate trade-off discussions & impact business performance

• Driving action as needed against gaps in financial performance, and other business improvement opportunities

• Driving evaluation of investment decisions, and prioritization of resource allocation within Japan, with a view towards the overall LEGO objectives

• Business case validation

You must have:

• At least 8 -10 years working experience in a FMCG or Retail industry

• At least Bachelor’s Degree in accountancy, Business or Finance or ACCA Level 3

• The ability to think end-to-end and to function in “dual hats” (finance & business)

• Able to frame strategy and complexity for effective discussions and resolutions

• Strong aptitude to apply accounting/finance skills & business acumen in job situations

• Strong interpersonal capabilities, and a commitment to excellence and integrity.

• Highly independent yet interdependent team-player.

• Demonstrated experience in providing insights and creating impact to organization & stakeholder

• Flexibility: 20-30 travel days, some evening meetings due to time difference

• IT savvy - SAP and BW experience is an advantage
