Full responsibility for coordinating and supporting revenue goals of the Japan Team. Works with the Japan team, led by the sales account managers to develop, plan and execute account and territory strategies for Japanese Academic markets. Sells Harris Geospatial Solutions products, training and professional services by qualifying and analyzing customer needs to determine the best solution for the prospect or customer, and accounts within the Japanese market.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meet and exceed direct sales goals within assigned East Japan Academic territory which contributes to the employee’s and sales team’s revenue targets.

  • Acquire knowledge of our products/services and general IT skill sets in short period of time.

  • Help grow overall team sales in Japan in support of the company plan.

  • Help the sales team and your colleague to grow and support to our company plan.

  • Help the sales team to expand market share by effectively promoting products and services.

  • Help the sales team manage all necessary market activities such as, but not limited to, seminars and trade shows.

  • Work closely with other Harris and Harris Geospatial Solutions offices, especially the Broomfield office in Colorado, to keep updated and to provide the latest information and service to customers.

  • Propose and design the appropriate solution based on our products for customers.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling and conducting customer and prospect onsite presentations in assigned territory.

  • Develop and deliver Sales Territory reviews

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of experience or equivalent

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field of study

  • Experience selling Enterprise and Cloud-based software solutions are a plus

  • Excellent oral and written Japanese communication skills

  • Beginner level English skills

  • Working knowledge of Windows systems required

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • This position is generally performed in an office setting

  • Expected travel will be 10-25%. Representing Harris at industry trade shows and customer visits

  • Hours of work will coincide with territory

  • High levels of stress may occur
